"There's No Tank Tuffa Than a Tuffa Tank"

Do's & Dont's for TUFFA Tank placement & Installation.

(i) A sand bed 300mm bigger than the tank diameter leveled out 4" to 5" (100mm-125mm) deep and retained by bricks, treated timber planks or logs is suitable. If retention of the sand is not practical then a gravel covering on the exposed sand will reduce erosion of the sand by rain and wind. (ii) A level 3 1/2 to 4" reinforced concrete base 12" (300mm) greater than the base diameter of the tank is also acceptable.

TANK OVERFLOW MUST BE DIRECTED WELL AWAY FROM TANK BASE TO AVOID ERODING THE TANK FOUNDATION

TANK STANDS Elevated tank must be designed and constructed by suitably qualified persons (A 9000 ltr tank weighs 9000 kgs). For the platform hardwood decking, preferably treated for longer life, with gaps of no more than 50mm (2") between decking slats is suitable.

Pipe work and other fittings must be supported at tank fitting ... It is desirable, and gives added protection, if , as in example 2, pipe work leading from the tank is trenched and covered to avoid damage to over pipes and the tank.

INCORRECT INSTALLATION WILL VOID THE WARRANTY.
Pipe work should be supported and should include a minimum 100mm long flexible section. See example 2. In very high wind areas, it is advisable to tie-downs moulded into tanks particularly if elevated tank stands are used.

All Tuffa Tank products are manufactured in Accordance with: AS/NZs 4766 (INT): 2002, The standard for Polyethylene storage tanks for water.
